چکیده

Cosmic-ray proton and antiproton spectra were measured at mountain altitude, 2770 m above sea level. We observed more than 2×10 protons and 10 antiprotons in a kinetic energy range between 0.25 and 3.3 GeV. The zenith-angle dependence of proton flux was obtained. The observed spectra were compared with theoretical predictions.

Effects of Solar Modulation on the Low-energy Cosmic-ray Antiproton/proton Ratio

We examine the transport of cosmic-ray protons and anitprotons from local interstellar space through the interplanetary medium to Earth and discuss the resulting e†ects on the low-energy antiproton/proton ratio at 1 AU. We Ðnd that the antiproton/proton ratio at energies above D3 GeV is a useful diagnostic of cosmic-ray transport in the Galaxy. However, at energies below D1 GeV the expected rat...

The Cosmic - Ray antiproton flux between 3 and 49

We report on a new measurement of the cosmic ray antiproton spectrum. The data were collected by the balloon-borne experiment CAPRICE98 which was flown on 28-29 May 1998 from Fort Sumner, New Mexico, USA. The experiment used the NMSU-WIZARD/CAPRICE98 balloon-borne magnet spectrometer equipped with a gas Ring Imaging Cherenkov (RICH) detector, a time-offlight system, a tracking device consisting...

Measurements of Atmospheric Antiprotons

We measured atmospheric antiproton spectra in the energy range 0.2 to 3.4 GeV, at sea level and at balloon altitude in the atmospheric depth range 4.5 to 26 g/cm. The observed energy spectra, including our previous measurements at mountain altitude, were compared with estimated spectra calculated on various assumptions regarding the energy distribution of antiprotons that interacted with air nu...

Uncertainties of Cosmic Ray Spectra and Detectability of Antiproton mSUGRA Contributions With PAMELA

We studied the variation of e and p̄ top of the atmosphere spectra due to the parameters uncertainties of the Milky Way geometry, propagation models and cross sections. We used the B/C data and Galprop code for the propagation analysis. We also derived the uncertainty bands for subFe/Fe ratio, H, He, antiproton to proton ratio and the positron charge fraction. Finally, we considered a neutralino...
